The Mid America Intercollegiate Athletics Conference drew our focus early in Helmet Bowl and never let up. The Central Missouri Mules put up big numbers early on. The Northwest Missouri State Bearcats answered and we were off! The Bearcats eventually earned the conference win. Who won Week 10? Why the Pittsburg State Gorillas, of course. Whaaaat?

In the Great Northwest Athletic, every team earned some points – the only conference to accomplish this feat. Congrats to the Western Oregon Wolves for earning a spot in the National Bracket of 64 teams!

The Elon Phoenix battled the Richmond Spiders throughout the Conference Championship. Richmond fell short in their Week 10 bid to force a playoff.

DII Independents: The Limestone Saints earned a half point to draw even with the UNC Pembroke Braves

The Ohio State Buckeyes complete a remarkable comeback to meet, then overtake the Michigan Wolverines in the Big 10. The Buckeyes were not even on the radar for the first few weeks of Helmet Bowl. Then, they suddenly awoke after defeating Penn State on the field, and started to score points. They break a 5-5 tie in Week 10 to win!
