The Greatest College Football Helmet Contest Ever
Every Division. Every Conference. Every Team. Every Helmet.
One Champion.
Each college football team competes in their football Conference polls to determine Conference Champions. Voting in the National Championship bracket then determines the Helmet Bowl Champion.
Voting
Voting is open to anyone with access to HelmetBowl.com. Voting is free and does not require sign-in. Voters can cast a vote in every active contest daily beginning October 10th.
Helmet Bowl Conference Play and Conference Championships
Teams are placed in their football Conference bracket poll to begin Helmet Bowl VI Conference play. This year, there will be two-two week Conference Rounds, and each winner will compete head-to-head for a spot in the National Tournament. If a single school wins both, they will compete against the 2nd highest vote-getter in their conference.
All votes count.
Then, the conference winners from the top to 50 Conference are seeded in their Helmet Bowl IV National bracket.
Helmet Tracker will select 16 at-large schools for the National Round. The most active teams get a shot to play in the National Champ.
Conference Champions will be crowned Monday, November 18th, 2022.
Helmet Bowl VI National Championship
The top 50 Helmet Bowl VI Conference Champions, determined by vote totals in Conference bracket play, advance to the National Championship bracket. Seeding (1 through 15) is based first on four geographic regions, then vote totals in Conference bracket play.
The Helmet Bowl VI selection committee determines the final fourteen slots in the National Championship bracket. These play-in teams may or may not be Conference Champions.
The 64-team bracket, launched Tuesday, November 29th, 2022, pits teams against each other in one-week, single-elimination polling contests ending with a championship contest between the two remaining teams in early January 2022.
The Helmet Bowl IV Champion will be crowned Monday, January 9th, 2022.
Equipment Managers and Sports Information Directors
A team’s Equipment Manager and Sports Information Director can send new/updated helmet images throughout the contest. We encourage new helmet images to match the helmets their team will wear on the football field that week. Helmet Tracker will work on updating the helmet images as soon as possible upon receiving them.
